(Courtesy NSF, NOAA, AIVL/WHOI) Oceanographers using the remotely operated vehicle (ROV) Jason discovered and recorded the first video and still images of a deep-sea volcano actively erupting molten lava on the seafloor. Jason, designed and operated by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution for the National Deep Submergence Facility, utilized a prototype, high-definition still and video camera to capture the powerful event nearly 4000 feet below the surface of the Pacific Ocean, in an area bounded by Fiji, Tonga and Samoa. My thought also
So thats 1.2 kilometers deep. What would eruptions look like in 3,5 and 10 kilometers deep pressure conditions?
that’s so cool! i always wondered how underwater volcanic eruptions worked!
Fantastic, wow! thanks for this.
Why does Lady Gaga – Bad Romance come up here… xD
so, who is taking pictures of the ROV taking pictures
yes.
no its a camera flash
i think ……….
so much light down there! Almost looks fake! Impressive footage. poor little ROVer was prob’ shitting bricks.

It’s a shame the video is so short; this is awesome.
God farted.
Take the first step and stop emitting co2 or learn how to not be so asinine. I guess you’re right global temperatures never fluctuated naturally. What was I thinking maybe next time I’ll just believe movies instead of scientific research.
anyone person or 6 billion people?
you should try and realize the difference between nature’s cycle and humans destruction. wake up retard.
And that right there did more to affect the global climate than anyone does in their lifetime.
trully good.
AWESOME SIGHT! Truly there is a God
