The production relates the health effects of the disaster that buried the city of Armero in November of 1985. This 18-minute video was produced for health professionals who may find themselves involved in mass casualty management, triage, and other aspects of disaster management.

Having so many people living near volcanoes is simply too risky, in my view.
I know land is a precious commodity, it is a giver of life, but I just don’t see how it’s worth the pain and suffering when it takes life in such a horrific a manner as this.
very helpful revision for my geography exam
The bodies of those people is so disturbing.
The little girl at 5:53 looks like she has a grey streak in her hair…maybe from being so afraid.
Talk about inappropriate narrator .. the guy seems quite excited about it all! Terrible oratory skils
My great grand ma passed in Armero that day. May she rest in peace.
read the book ” No Apparent Danger”, it explains everything
R.I.P for all those people
sweetie, don’t go around correcting people if they don’t click right in the keyboard by mistake (in this case.. me),besides English is not my mother language but I speak for more,,,,do YOU?
@rwzal Emphasis.
OMG T_T
this fucking narrator sounds so happy…he must think this is a fashion show….PJUT MOR ENFASIS IN YOUR TONE OF VOICE…THIS IS DEAD PEOPLE!!!
this is just sad=/, how mother nature can take many lifes in a matter of seconds
the govt was REALLY really useless then, for seriously underestimating the risk of the eruption and not carrying out necessary evacuation despite concrete prediction reports. those deaths could be evaded easily. damn authorities!
30000 DIED
no need to get cocky
And 23,000+ died, there were not many survivors at all.
I would consider myself an expert on this volcano, I can answer questions.

as a colombian born and raised in the area. can’t help but feel this great sadness for the horrible tragedy that took away quite a few of my childhood friends
