I’m not Icelandic. I’m just an admirer of the country and a student of the language. Why I’m studying a second language while I haven’t quite got a full grasp on my first, I will never know. I may not have it 100% correct, but surely I’m closer than many talking heads I’ve seen on TV. Hell, most the time they don’t even umlaut the ‘o’. If I am correct and you still can’t pronounce it, translated, it means Island Mountain Glacier.
@37948128 no hes not wrong, its much harder for example Americans or Brits to say Eyjafjallajökull because, we talk so harsh, and kinda weird, so unless you have lived in Iceland for at least 5 years or are Icelandic, then it doesn’t get much better than this, that was pretty good
you are realy close ;D i am from iceland so
@jasonmit I´m from iceland and you did very well.! Eyja-Fjalla was just like i would say it,, then Jökull is a littlebit stange iin the end but really good

@37948128 Oh how ironic. That’s spelled, “You’re wrong”. But either way, not a helpful comment in the slightest.
youre rong!
you jökull sounded like it had an H in it, but otherwise good
its pretty close man… well at least close enough
@odinncool Dude relax, I don’t hear him saying R so chill out man.
your wrong!! you said “jörkull” there’s no R in the entire word!
The word isnt that easy, its written one way and spoken another, but had it been spoken as it is written, it would been like this “EyjaFjällaJökull ” you pronounce it right,. Eyja Fjatla Jökutl,. both doublle L are a TL sound,.
greetings from Norway..
btw Icelandic is the Old Norwegian Language before the danes ruined it all,.
@nemo125cc Im from sweden 2 and he says it right, when its a double L in their language it becomes a TL
@nemo125cc I don’t know what P sound you’re talking about. I can’t imagine how you pronounce the word, “people”. And according to actual Icelanders, I did pretty well. The only part where I was a off was on the ll in jökull.
Accualy im not from iceland im from sweden and i cant realy seem to understand why you get that wrong just fucking say the god damn word its not a P in the midle of it for f”#¤% sake man come on EYEA FJALLA JOUKUL Try that ITS NOT THAT HARD
