This was filmed in April of 2007 on the Big Island of Hawaii. The volcano is called Mauna Loa and is constantly sending lava daily into the sea. When I was filming this the heat was UNbearable. When you get this close You don’t want to fall over in the wrong place. I was about 3 to 4 feet at certain places and had to keep a safe distance, in case the lens on my camera melted. When I went to the ocean to film the lava coming into the ocean, I had to stay a safe distance away because the smoke you see are actually sulphuric fumes.
…No. That’s Kilauea. Mauna Loa hasn’t erupted for years.
why does it have to look like F***ing candy I would put my face in it…….-__-
poke poke poke!!!!!!!!!
@srauvers Mauna Loa has not erupted since March 1984. Lava from that you filmed is technically from the Pu U O o vent on the east flank of Kilauea. Just thought you’d like to know…
omg that is too cool, i so want to poke it!

Retard, this is Kilauea. Mauna Loa hasn’t erupted since 1984
imagine you slip and fall in!!!! that would suck :O
Your fingers would be burned to a crisp before they came even close to touching it.
what happens if you touch it with your fingers lol !!!
MOLTEN HOT MAGMA
It’s not Mauna Loa, it’s a downfield flow from the Pu’u'O’o vent of Kilauea.
0:33 kinda sounds like a dog growling
that lava reminds me of pizza sauce lol
or an arm
i know volcanos are the best!
